People of all ages, economic circumstances and backgrounds can learn how to make good financial decisions with these FREE, effective and unbiased money-management, investing and retirement planning classes. Brought to you as a part of Smart Investing @ Your Library.
Recession Response
Let the library help you during these tough economic times with FREE classes to assist you with your job search, debt management and many other timely topics. This series of programs is supported with funds granted by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records Agency under the Library Services and Technology Act, which is administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Reel Talk Film Series
The Reel Talk Film Series offers nine top-notch movies during June and July. The theme for this summer is Visual Effects: Then and Now. Movie lovers are lucky to have film expert Jeannie Berg leading this favorite series once again. In addition to teaching screenwriting, television and theater courses in the college setting, Jeannie worked in the movie industry for Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles. Now she is sharing her two main passions – watching films and talking about films – with Reel Talk audience members.
Canyon Country Community Lecture Series The Grand Canyon will always awe and inspire visitors. Learn more about this intriguing natural treasure at the upcoming Canyon Country Community Lecture Series at the Foothills Branch Library. Over a period of four months, starting in March, the public can learn about the world’s most spectacular canyon from the perspective of a landscape artist, a researcher, a park ranger and an author.
