Mayor Elaine Scruggs with Midwestern University President and CEO, Dr. Kathleen Goeppinger and Executive Vice President and COO, Dr. Art Dobbelaere. 

Mayor Scruggs received the COMET Award for her support of Midwestern University’s mission and for influencing the growth of healthcare education in Glendale and throughout the state.  Mayor Scruggs played a major role in attracting the university to Glendale in 1995.
