THE MASTER PLANNING PROCESS
The last city of Glendale Parks and Recreation Master Plan was adopted in February 2002. Since that time, many changes have occurred within the community and surrounding areas.
This update is a 10-month process and will result in a detailed “road map” that will identify community priorities for recreation and park facilities, as well as outline a plan of action.
Input from local interest groups, community organizations and businesses, public officials and private citizens will be critical to help establish priorities for current and future parks and recreation services, programs and facilities offered within the city of Glendale.
The public is invited to attend the meeting on September 22, 2010, to learn more about the plan and provide feedback on the updated Master Plan drafts for the:
The September 22 is the third public meeting to gather feedback in the development on the updated plan. This meeting will feature draft information on the Community Values and Strategies sections of the plan. These sections represent the prevailing feedback gathered during the past several months from residents, community organizations, leaders and staff. The values and strategies reflect the department’s core services and will be used to build recommendations in the final master plan update.
