The City of Glendale owns 2 aquatic centers: the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center located at
5600 W. Union Hills Dr. and the Rose Lane Aquatics Center located at 5003 W. Marlette Ave. The
Foothills Recreation & Center is a year-round facility that includes: lap swimming, water aerobics, seasonal private swim lessons, summer group swim lessons, summer recreation swimming, pool rentals/parties, and lifeguard instructor certification programs. Foothills amenities include 2 giant slides, a zero depth entry leisure pool with spray features, a lazy river, diving well with 2 diving boards and 6 lap lanes. Foothills has indoor locker rooms with “day use” lockers. Please bring your own lock.
The Rose Lane Aquatics Center is open to the public for summer activities including aquatic party rentals, group swim lessons,
and summer recreation swimming. This facility includes a large, zero depth entry leisure pool with spray features, a splash
pad, a giant slide, and a big pool with a diving well and 2 diving boards. This facility is only staffed when the pools are open for
aquatic programming.
Watch for the “Splashbook” in May. The Splashbook, — available for download online, at the Front Desk of the Foothills Center,
the Glendale Libraries or the Parks and Recreation main office — will provide detailed schedules on open recreation swimming, summer lessons, punch passes, party rentals, Family Swim Night and other valuable aquatic information. If you have questions please call 623-930-2838 for more information.
